Gran Torino
- This was just plain sweet. I don't know if I've ever even seen anything else with Clint Eastwood or by him. But this was sooooo good. When asked whether this was better than Slumdog Millionaire, I couldn't say. They are different. That one was so good, but based on love. This was so good because it had a surprising and moving theme. The end totally caught me offguard. I loved this movie.
Into the Wild
- I feel as though this title is familiar, but I can't say that I had heard of the story of this movie before. Based on a true story makes it so much cooler. His desire to be free from everything that society and 'civilization' wants you to do and be, I can feel that. That his desire to stray away from it all is seen as so crazy. But it's totally from within. I fell asleep in the last approximate 30 minutes. I definitely need to watch this again.
Slumdog Millionaire
- This was such an amazing movie, it's definitely at the top of my list of favorite movies. I learned what a Bollywood movie is. The cinematography was good. The premise was good. I was interested in this movie because I had listened to part of the audiobook for the book this was based on - Q&A (possibly with a title change after the movie came out) by Vikras Swarup. I thoroughly loved this movie. The music was even great.
